Tales of Thibadeau

Welcome to Tales of Thibadeau, I hope my sweet family enjoys seeing and remembering all of our antics and adventures. There is never an ordinary day in our home, and even if there was I would want to remember every second of it. I love my family and thank Heaven for them everyday. XOXO, Selina

Twilight Moms

Well, this is how it all started... April Brugger, an angel on earth, whom I am so lucky to be friends with - has a BIG TIME crush on Edward from the book series "Twilight". The release of the first movie in November just about put her in cardiac arrest, seriously. She has a heart condition that is terminal. It is controlled now with medication, fantastic doctors, and a lot of prayers. This news would devastate most people, but April has decided to live life to it's fullest and is determined to meet Edward at the filming of the next movie - hence, the term "Twilight Moms". I am really excited to be one of them, even though my love for the series is not nearly what April's is... I do think Edward is pretty hot, though!
To make her dream come true, April contacted Stephanie Meyer (the book's author) and received a package containing a signed book, and t-shirts for her two sweet girls, Hannah and Emmee.
She wanted all of us there who are going on this adventure with her while she opened "The Package". Everyone is pictured but Annie Sager who doesn't like "Twilight", but has become "The Chosen One". She like Micheal Phelps...
This picture says everything you need to know about this phenomenal woman. Love her.
Of course, I had to bring a little arm wrestling into the get together, classy, I know. But I won and that is all that matters.

Pixie Lili

Well, after a phone call to Grandma Tanja ( I was too afraid to break the news to Jessy myself), we headed down to Jessy's work to get rid of the mullet. Jessy took it really well, and did a remarkably awesome job fixing Lili's hair, considering what she had to work with.
Lili is so sweet, she holds no grudges.
I'm thinking hats are the way to go for a while...
Bella, Bella, Bella...

Bella has cut her hair three times and no doll or Barbie has escaped. I have told her MANY times to not cut her hair - or her expensive Fancy Nancy doll's hair. I guess I wasn't clear enough on what she could and couldn't cut.

As I have said, I babysit my two nieces and nephew and I take great pride in how they are treated and loved in my home. So, I was mortified when Bella walked into the office and said that Lili had cut her own hair. (I knew at once she was lying, she had that "look"). Then in walks Lili with a mullet, a wicked one...

In shock, I walked into the toy room and found chunks of hair on the floor with scissors close by. Upon further investigation I saw that Bella had climbed the counter and got into my craft cupboard. She told Pat she just wanted to make Lili pretty with some of my ribbon.

A picture says a thousand words.
Oh, Lili, I am so sorry!

At this point I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!

Now, how do I tell her mom???

My Honey

This picture was taken in August of 2008, it is one of my favorites of Pat. He is so tan and his eyes are shining - I love that smirk.
Pat is the man of my life. He loves me like no other ever could. He puts up with all my crazy ideas, friends, OCD behavior, mood swings, bad driving... I could go on and on. I love him because he loves me. He has made my dream of becoming a mother come true and I couldn't ask for a better Daddy. He stands by me at all times, he is my number one fan and he even thinks I am beautiful without makeup - how could I not feel like the luckiest woman in the world?
I love you, honey.

My Forever Baby

And then came Bella... She is four years old now, but I still treat her as if she were the only baby in the world - my friend, Ami, gags at this!! There is something a bit different about the last baby, I love all my children the same, but I am afraid I will always treat Bella like the baby she is. In these pictures she is hamming it up, one would never know the trouble she can cause by looking at that sweet face... Just wait.

My Second Baby

Oh, my Katie Bug... She really hasn't changed all that much! Notice she still has that blankie (it just isn't stuffed up her nose in this picture). This girl makes me laugh like no other and she was born with a spirit that cannot be broken - I wouldn't have her any other way.

My First Baby

I can't believe this is my daughter!! It feels a little surreal to see her progress into a young woman. When I was pregnant with her and even after bringing her home, I never planned beyond the baby stage. I could never imagine her as anything but my baby.
And she still is - no matter how tall and beautiful.

Girls' Night Out

I feel like I hit the jackpot with my assortment of friends. They are all unique, beautiful, talented and generous women. I am especially lucky to have two of them as my visiting teachers, Kim Munson and Natalie Jardine (pictured above). Both of these women have seen me at my best, and worst and love me anyway. Thanks, girls, for always being there.
This is a bit of Natalie's wild side... One of the reason's why I love her!
We celebrated Natalie's birthday by inviting everyone we could think of for dinner and a movie. There ended up being 17 of us and it was a wonderful opportunity begin new friendships. All of these ladies are in my ward and they really show the spirit of our ward family. Again I am grateful to be associated with such a great group.

Who Kids are These??

.jpg" border=0>My little monkeys are very creative. They cannot just PLAY Rockband, but they must ACT and DRESS the part. Rock on.

And Each Their Own

Yeah!! We are almost done. All that is left are the finishing touches (vinyl lettering - butterflies for Bella's room and monkeys for Katie's). Thanks Bella for all your help, this will be a great surprise for the girls when they get home!

Two's a Crowd Cont.

While Pat and the big girls were gone for a weekend, Bella and I spent all of one day and most of the night putting together furniture (this included lugging it all up the stairs by myself) and adding some decor.

Two's a Crowd

Having three girls and only two bedrooms has become a sore spot for all involved. Sooo... my wonderful husband did not balk at my crazy idea of tuning one bedroom into two. He built the wall and the girls and I did the rest.

Favorite Christmas Gifts

For Christmas, Santa brought Maddy and Katie matching purple scooters. Their best buddies, Rylie and Reagan Spanbauer, received the same. Our cul-de-sac is now filled with four (sometimes five, if one will let Bella hitch a ride) crazy girls driving their scooters into the sunset. Or the mailbox, or eachother, or a patch of ice...

Happy New Year

Surprise, surprise... we began our new year with a strange new illness. Shingles! Poor Isabella, she gets all the good stuff. Shortly before the shingles appeared she spent an evening in the E.R. with an acute asthma attack. She keeps us on our toes, heathy or ill.

TALES OF THIBADEAU

I have started this blog as a way to keep track of my sweet family's life through pictures. We seem to be a pretty crazy bunch and I have a hard time keeping up, but I love my husband and my babies more than anything and I want to remember every moment of our lives together. So... I dedicate this blog and each entry to my wonderful family.

I love you. "Nina" January 22, 2009
