Ok, I have to make this clear. I was an original fan of THE original Micheal Jackson, you know the one. (He was black, wore a white glove, sparkly clothes, a nose at least as big as mine...)I have some fond memories of watching "The Making of Thriller" over and over with my childhood best friend. My dad would even take me to 7-11 to buy magazines that featured MJ and I would post his pictures on my wall. Oh, the good old days. Well, we all know his story and it's sad ending. I felt compelled to pay a small tribute to The King of Pop with a little moonwalking of my own.
The pictures above were taken at work, where I told everyone I had a big surprise coming for them at 10 am (to correlate with Jackson's Memorial) Pat even brought in my CD "Thriller" (yes, I own it on CD, and have for years) and it was playing throughout the office as I came out dressed in my best Micheal Jackson apparel. I even attempted the moonwalk.
I can't believe I wasn't fired. BUT IT WAS FUNNY.
I had to practice at home some of my moves.
I couldn't quite get on my tippy toes like he did.-AND-
I even danced on top of my minivan. You can't tell me to Beat It.

i dont' know where you get your energy! seriously! love all your pics and updated blog news.
Can I trade bodies with you please, especially the thighs. What a fitting tribute to the "real" Michael Jackson. You make me laugh.
I do love me some Michael Jackson. Yes, he got a little creepy in his final years, but he's still the king of pop. Billy Jean is actually my favorite MJ song. The music video is classic. When he died, Patrick and I actually spent quite awhile watching his videos on youtube. I cried at his funeral. Thank you, by the way, for not immiting his other signature move.
Nice tribute. I was never really into MJ, but he was kind of unavoidable. But, like Christina, I felt the funeral was touching. Such a sad end to to a sad life with an amazing contribution to the world. It's almost like he died of some terminal illness he'd had since birth.
Selena, you don't know me but I've been stalking your blog for a while. I'm Wendy's younger sister, and I've got to tell you, this made me laugh out LOUD! My husband came into the office to see why I was laughing hysterically. It is my firm belief that life is fatal, but not serious, and you have captured that attitude with a vengeance!
I think I may know you, Kel - not sure... But I am so glad to have a stalker. I tend to crack myself up and I am glad I made a few others laugh as well!!
hilarious...i believe a reenactment at the westerberg reunion is called for.
Kel stalks everyone's blog, Selena. I think she's harmless - mostly. Nice to see you're still around Kel!
