Tales of Thibadeau

Welcome to Tales of Thibadeau, I hope my sweet family enjoys seeing and remembering all of our antics and adventures. There is never an ordinary day in our home, and even if there was I would want to remember every second of it. I love my family and thank Heaven for them everyday. XOXO, Selina

Good Old Fashioned Farm Fun

Katie had the wonderful opportunity to tag along with the Young Women on a fun filled activity at a small neighboring farm. They learned to milk a cow, make butter and cheese, pick eggs from the chicken coop and catch an emu, but the highlight were the kittens...
Anna Nelson

Katie, Anna, Hannah and Emmee Brugger all dressed the part.
It was such a hit that a friend arranged for a group of younger kids to go and experience farm life. They all ran out of their respective minivans and jumped on this merry-go-round. I am not sure if all got on or if any fell off.
Here is the majority of the group with the now famous farmer, Brother Rasmussun.
I never knew how badly my Maddy wanted to milk a cow. I really do not have that desire, but I am glad she had the experience.
She got milk!!!
Some of the cuties that joined us - notice how many are holding kittens.
(Shoot, did I mention that Fred died?? It was embarrassing, our neighbor had to tell us. On a sadder note we had to put our Annie Cat down after 13 years, so we now only have two animals: the turtle - will it survive the winter? - and Patches)
I am thinking this farm was as fun as a trip to Disney Land...
Reagan Spanbauer
Little Miss Emmee caught many a rooster that evening, scared her mama to death.
Spencer, Emily and Audrey Payne
Mike/Brother/Dr. Payne after hours with his kiddos.
McKenna Nelson - isn't she beautiful?
Iris Wilcox, one of my former Primary kids...
Girl, you got a cat in your hat!!
Katie discovered this cuddly kitten last time she was here. I have never seen a kitten that was so lovable before. He loved to be held just like a little baby.
Uh -Oh. I am feeling baby hungry.
Uh -Oh. I like this kitty. A lot.
I have had another momentary lapse of reason. My girls didn't even ask, it was all me. I wanted that little guy. Brother R. said he was all ours. I had him named Jack before we left the driveway (for his orange fur and it being October - as in Jack-O-Lantern).
What is my honey going to say?? Who cares!! Jack is so cuddly and cute, I am thinking about having our own litter of kitties.
Now that is good old fashioned fun!

you remind me of me. Once I was leaving walmart and there were free kittens at the door. Of course I took one. Did I mention that I was living with four other girls in a rented apartment that didn't allow pets; I just couldn't help myself! But on the way to my car, the kitten escaped my arms and ran under the nearest car. After spending twenty minutes, lying on the pavement, coaxing the little guy out, I decided it was a bad omen, and promptly returned him. I'm wishing you better luck with your little jack, he is too adorable!

What a bunch of fun!!! I am happy you have added Jack to your family, pets help make life seem not so terrible. I know that my dog Mater makes me feel so much better when he just comes up and throws himself in my lap. Never mind that he weighs 100 pounds, he is just so dumb looking and loves me no matter what. I am sure the hubby will understand. Hope you guys can come around to the family farm next year and play with the ponies again!

Ahh. . . animals--there is nothing like them. They love you no matter what. I want to have an animal rescue in my yard, but Richard said no. He is most unreasonable.
