There is nothing like a the sound, smell and sight of a sleeping baby. Well, in my case, a sleeping four year old. This is straight out of the bath, before pajamas and bedtime story. Sweet, isn't it?
Now, let me tell you why these pictures are so deceiving. I have been working out of the home now for four months and Bella has gradually decided that she does not like the idea AT ALL. She schemes, lies, steals (really), and many more things that I don't need a child psychologist to tell me what her goal is, my undivided attention.
I have worked very hard as a mama to still be there for my babies during the day (for crying out loud, I work 1/2 a mile from home and they are able to call or visit at any time) and when I get home I do my best to give all three of them love, love, love.
Maddy and Katie are very responsive to this and think I am pretty hip that I work in an office that beautifies teeth, have a small side business selling vinyl lettering and sell Scentsy. All very cool, I know. Bella, on the other hand, thinks I have abandoned her in her prime and plots to destroy any attempt of mine at leaving the house. She one day resorted to pretending she threw up and even brought me the contents in a bowl. (I will try to spare you the details, but it was a mixture of mushed popcorn and urine -hers.) Now, I know what all the grandparents are saying, " But Selina, you have stayed home with the other girls and this isn't fair to her and she feels threatened and is scared and just wants her mama."
Well, I would say you are right. BUT, she is also a master genius whose clever little mind could be used for good or evil and right now she is choosing EVIL and driving me insane!
But, of course, I still feel guilty and love her even more. BTW, she got all her master skills of deception from me. Nobody knows what I am up to....
