Tales of Thibadeau

Welcome to Tales of Thibadeau, I hope my sweet family enjoys seeing and remembering all of our antics and adventures. There is never an ordinary day in our home, and even if there was I would want to remember every second of it. I love my family and thank Heaven for them everyday. XOXO, Selina

SunValley, The Work Girls and Apparently Really Bad Driving

I have said before that I work in great environment for a great boss. So when Dr. said the work girls could head up to Sun Valley for the weekend and stay in his condo I couldn't resist. There were only a few problems: how do we get 7 (Janet drove up the next day) of us in one car with all our luggage? How do we make it to Sun Valley after working a long day in Emmett? And what music should we listen to?? As you can see, Heather had to tied down the Tulley with a fashionable yellow rope and we all piled in the mini - I threatened to play hymns, but nobody listened.
It must be noted that I have not had a speeding ticket in over 15 years, until about a week before we left on our weekend excursion. I was trying to get my girls to dance on time. I totally deserved the $75 ticket, and was very gracious when I didn't get a no proof of insurance ticket because all I could find in my car was an Allstate card from 1994. PHEW! I do like to drive fast and I am not meant to drive a minivan, but I do think I have some mad skills as a driver. I guess I am the only who believes this to be true. Apparently there was some discomfort with the knowledge that I would be behind the wheel on our journey. I ignored the CONSTANT criticism during our drive and, no..., the mini was never on two wheels ~ no matter what they say!
I brought us so close to our destination when our fun was spoiled by flashing lights. @?!#!!, I forgot to replace my insurance card...
I believe this was Meghan's face the whole 2 1/2 hours in the car.
This is my face trying to figure out a way to smooth talk myself out of this ticket. 45 in a 20 is not REALLY speeding, but to these Hailey officers, it isn't good. Plus, I know he knows that I just got picked up last week for speeding - does he know about the insurance card? Well, he is about to find out. (Notice everyone taking pictures on their cell phones and sending them to their hubbies back home)
Before we left, Dr. said we would be a van full of cuteness - he was right!! No ticket and no cares about my 5 year old insurance card. CeeJay texted Dr. to tell him (he gets pulled over all the time) and he was FURIOUS! So mad was he, that he ranted and raved about it to patients for over a week. What can I say?
We enjoyed most of our stay in a local hang out watching the Idaho/BSU game. We were the only BSU fans there. We were the only ones NOT wearing snow suits. We were the only ones who had our hair done and makeup on. We were not popular. (This was in Ketchum, where the tree huggers live) Well, we were not popular with the scary women. The scary men loved us.

BSU spanked Idaho, OF COURSE, and we didn't care who hated us. We loved to yell, "AND THAT WAS ANOTHER BRONCO... FIRST DOWN!"
Well, we survived my driving, the local bar and we all still love to work together!!

I'm surprised you got a ticket the first time. I was pulled over a week or so ago for not stopping entirely at a stop light and I didn't get a ticket. Craig was furious! He swears cops are biased.
