Tales of Thibadeau

Welcome to Tales of Thibadeau, I hope my sweet family enjoys seeing and remembering all of our antics and adventures. There is never an ordinary day in our home, and even if there was I would want to remember every second of it. I love my family and thank Heaven for them everyday. XOXO, Selina

Some of April's Favorite Things

Annie Sager had this fantastic idea to make April a basket of her favorite things to give to her after another stay at the hospital. Well, we gals took this job very seriously and after getting everything together, we wanted to have her own personnel "Edward" deliver her gift.
We couldn't wait to see April's face, but instead we were greeted by Eric and his freshly painted toenails. He regrettably informed us April was not at home - yet. He told us to come and hide in the front room and we could yell "SURPRISE!" when she arrived. He returned momentarily to say, "Well, maybe don't YELL surprise - a soft whisper would be better."
Here is "THE NUMBER ONE MAN OF THE YEAR" - I mean Eric, sillies...
I'm thinkin' Edward and I make a pretty cute couple. I do have sharp incisors, they might come in handy in an emergency.
Even Annie, who doesn't like Edward (because he doesn't have a pipe), had to admit he was a cutie.
"surprise" (whispered, remember?)
I had to have Annie crop this photo to more accurately capture the moment. It is said, "A Picture Says a Thousand Words"- but what strikes me most about this photo is Eric's sweet face full of joy as he watches his wife go nuts over another man.
April FINALLY notices there are other people in the room besides Edward...
Angie Wilding has the most bright, beautiful smile I have ever seen. Her face indicates what we all were feeling.
April's awesome sister made sure she was taken care of and had her SIT DOWN. (Sorry about the red-eye, if I am to become a professional blogger, I need a new camera)
Annie began to explain the basket and it's contents by singing her own rendition of "My Favorite Things". She totally rocked.
The kids were just as excited as anybody and they were not forgotten. Natalie Day ordered them their own pet butterflies. I wish I had thought of the idea because butterflies have such a special meaning to me. Good job, Natalie!!
More goodies. Scentsy, earrings, lotions, a "Twilight" companion book (in case you haven't read it about 100 times...) and a really fantastic moo-moo. I can't forget the darling picture of April's girls - I think Annie was smart enough to think of that one. Dang, wish I had.
I do have to take credit for the Snuggie, though. There is a funny story behind this: One day at lunch, someone brought up getting April a Snuggie because she is always cold. I vehemently refused to have any part of it. What dingbat can't answer the phone while under a blanket? Have you seen the infomercial?? Not two days later I got an email from Walgreens advertising "As Seen on T.V." Snuggies. I had to call three different stores to find one that had a Snuggie in stock. A bunch of weirdos must live in Meridian. If I see them outside roasting marshmallows in there matching Snuggies I will die of laughter on the spot (after getting a picture for my blog!)
April is demonstrating very well how to use the phone and wear the Snuggie at the same time.
What April REALLY wants to do is hold the babies. I had that little cutie first, but the only person I would give him up to is April.
My new-found, funny, beautiful, smart, AMAZING friend - Annie Sager. Hey Girl, you are awesome. (Even though I look like your mom...) XOXO.
Natalie Day and Kelli Pabst. Do they have to look so good after having a baby?? I hate them.
Oh, sorry, that was my envious side speaking. I love them!!
April looks best with a baby in her arms.
Hey, this couldn't be a party without Kim. I will forever be grateful for my calling in Primary. I had the privilege to teach two of Kim's little ones and therefore I have acquired admirers and a new friend. Love ya Kim.
The girls just made themselves at home while I just sat there and sucked up all the love that was in that room. It was palpable.
Here's one of my cuties from Primary. Hannah has taught me more about faith than any adult ever could. I love this girl. Emee too, but she was too quick for a picture!!
It is just like Pat to crash a girls' outing. I swear he is only coming to church for all the hot chicks.
Chris Nelson and April in a most beautiful picture.
I visit teach Chris and she has endeared a forever place in my heart. I am so lucky to have this fantastic woman in my life.
April is one of my favorite things. Pat says she is like "Coming Home" - I tend to agree.
April, I love ya'!
XOXO,
Rose...
